Existing safety measures

• • Fire Extinguishers / Emergency Lighting / Fire Supression Systems are maintained by competent person as part of routine Quarterly H&S checks

  • Fire Extinguishers / Emergency Lighting are serviced annually by a qualified engineer, and scheduled in the calendar

  • Fire Suppression Systems are serviced six monthly by a qualified engineer, and scheduled in the calendar.

  • Waste materials are removed from the premises at regular intervals

  • All walkways and fire exits should be kept clear at all times

  • Induction and ongoing training on fire safety procedures. Staff attend a training course when enough staff to warrant

  • Fire Evacuation practice drills performed on a regular basis, and scheduled in the calendar

  • Fire Doors to be kept closed at all times

  • Deep Fat Fryers always left with a safe amount of oil in to turn them on

  • Any sources of ignition strictly controlled, Piezo Lighters. No Gas lighters.

  • Action in Case of Fire notices provided at Fire Exits

  • Fire Plan on Display

  • As much as possible, ensure all electrical equipment is switched off when not in use

  • Ensure Fire Safety Policy is followed

  • A detailed Fire Risk Assessment is provided
