  • Any faults or problems to be reported immediately and defective equipment not to be used

  • Maintained by competent person as part of routine Quarterly H&S checks

  • Wiped out daily, glass plate washed up daily

  • Never any metal in the microwave

  • No eggs in the microwave

  • Do not cook food in sealed containers, this includes covering with cling film with piercing

  • After microwaving, any covering of food to be removed carefully because of steam

  • Never turn on an empty microwave
